When you come to the Gold Coast as a student looking for student accommodation may be your first priority, if you do the right research and correspondence you will have your accommodation ready by the time you land at the Gold Coast. To find the right accommodation you must first study the Gold Coast map, and then you will know the exact location of your university. Once you know where your study centre is going to be then you could first try to get on campus accommodation, if you don’t get this you will have to find some other accommodation.
The students at the university mostly live on campus or around the campus to reduce travel time, travel can be time and money consuming and hence is best avoided unless absolutely essential.
The Bond University is one of the best campuses in the Gold Coast, it has student accommodation for almost all the students. If you happen to be one of the unfortunate who fails to get accommodation on the campus nothing to worry, there are many small apartment houses on rent near the university which is located near Brisbane. If your rent accommodation is a bit expensive you could share it with some other student who is looking out for a place to live, the best place to do this would be to put up a notice on the university notice board. Once your rent worries are thrashed out you could start settling in, look out for some good clean place to have food which is conveniently located and open at odd hours as well. Just to be on the safe side it is better to stock up your fridge with the basic foods like cheese, bread, eggs, milk and fruit. In case you get very late at some class you could just have some bread, cheese and fruit instead of going to bed on an empty stomach.
If you are a science student and doing some student research you may have very odd working hours and it would be wise to ask your research guide to help you find on campus accommodation.
